Application Information
Applications open May 19
Application deadline is July 15
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Must have a high school diploma or GED
-Have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
-Be committed to a local church

Application fee: $50 (non-refundable)
Completed application
A photo of your driver’s license or other valid ID
References: 1 pastoral, 2 personal (one of those needs to be from your spouse – stating that they support you on this endeavor- if you are married).
Internship commitment: you will intern at your local church and serve in the area of your concentration, an average of 2 to 3 hours per week depending on your degree program.
Background check: performed by your church and emailed directly to: gsm@gochurchtx.org OR performed by GSM for a $15 fee.
Admissions Process
Make sure you have read all the requirements before beginning an online application.
In order to complete your application process you will need:
A. To fill out and turn in your application and $50 application fee*
B. Three letters of reference:
One from your pastor – stating the area of Practical Ministry Internship Service you will be doing at your church.
And two personal – One of these must be from your spouse if you are married, stating that they will support you on this endeavor.
*All the letters of recommendation need to have the person’s full name, phone number, and need to come from the person’s email directly to gsm@gochurchtx.org.
C. Background check:
You may have your pastor email us a copy of your background check OR pay an additional $15 for GSM to complete background check.
D. Choose your degree program:
In your application process you will be asked to choose from our degree programs. To see the prerequisites and requirements for our degree programs click here or scroll down.
E. A clear photo or your driver’s license or other valid ID
*Please note that all payments are non-refundable. Your application fee is counted toward your tuition.
After we receive your completed application, you may be contacted with your status or to set up an interview with a GSM staff member. In this case, you will be notified within a week after the interview regarding your admission’s decision.
2025 to 2026
A non-refundable deposit of $550 is required to secure your admission to GSM. Your admissions letter does not secure your seat in class; your deposit does.
Tuition for the 2025-2026 school year is $1,250.
Students have the option to pay their tuition in full by July 25.
GSM also offers an optional payment plan.
Payment Plan Important payment dates to remember:
July 25th, 2025 – $550 deposit due.
The 1st of every month from September to January – $130.
This covers all classes (Fall and Spring Semester) with an accredited Christian university, weekly online live cohorts, books, and Saturday LEAD Practical Ministry Intensive Training. Your application fee is counted toward your tuition.
Tuition does not cover optional missions trip.
*All payments are non-refundable.
Our Strategy
At Go School of Ministry, students participate in a one-year three-pronged strategy for leadership development
Online teaching with an accredited university with a weekly cohort
GSM follows a university model 18 week Fall semester and 18 week Spring semester broken down in five courses. Each course is made up of eight modules lasting six weeks with areas of focus that build upon one another.
Each semester: lasts 18 weeks, with 5 courses , divided into 8 modules.
Weekly live online cohort that meets on Monday nights from 6:30pm-7:15pm in English and 7:30pm-8:15pm in Spanish. All times are Central Standard Time.
LEAD Saturdays, Practical Ministry Training with seasoned leaders. One Saturday a month from 8:15am to noon CST (please see GSM’S Academic Calendar LINK for specific LEAD dates).
LEAD attendance is mandatory unless strenuous circumstances and with previous GSM permission.
Intership in your chosen area of service in your local church
Required internship service hours per program:
2 hours a week for the Certificate of Practical Ministry.
3 hours a week for the Associates of Practical Ministry and the Bachelors in Ministry.
Our Degree Programs
Length of Program: 1 year
For students who want a general overview of theology and practical training for the Ministry.
Pre-Requisites:
Students must be committed members of a local Christian church. There is no previous church service prerequisite.
During the program the students will:
-Participate in a one-year local church internship with 36 service hours (2 hours a week).
-Complete a year of online education with an accredited university with a weekly online cohort.
-Complete a year of onsite LEAD Saturdays Practical Ministry Training.
Participation in Summer Missions is not required.
The length of the CPM is one year (Fall and Spring Semesters).
Length of program: 1 year plus a summer semester
For students who want a general overview of theology and practical training for the Ministry.
Pre-Requisite:
Students must have served in a leadership position in their local church for at least three years.
During the program the students will:
-Be required to participate in a one-year local church internship with 50 hours of service (an average of 3 hours a week).
-Add the concentration of Missions during the summer semester.
-Complete a year of online education with an accredited university with a weekly online cohort.
-Complete a year of onsite LEAD Saturdays Practical Ministry Training.
All of the above to complete a total of 60 credit hours.
The length of the APM is one year (Fall and Spring semesters) plus a Summer semester doing Missions.
Length of program: 2 years plus a summer semester
By pastoral recommendation only.
For students who want a general overview of theology and practical training for ministry.
Pre-Requisites
Students must have completed their CPM or APM at GSM.
Students must have prior educational training equivalent 60 credit hours or an Associate degree.
Students must have a minimum of five years of ministerial leadership experience.
During the program the students will:
-Complete a year of internship at their local church or Christian ministry of choice (2 hours a week).
-Complete one Summer semester of missions credit hours (if they haven’t already done so).
-Complete a year of online education with an accredited university with a weekly online cohort.
-Complete a year of onsite LEAD Saturdays Practical Ministry Training.
-Start their credentialling process through a Christian denomination before the end of the course.
All the above to complete a total of 120 credit hours.
The length of the BM is 2 years (counting CPM or APM) plus a summer semester.

Calendar and Schedule
Our classes begin at the end of August and continue through May, following a university model with 18 weeks of Fall instruction and 18 weeks of Spring instruction.
During the school year we meet on Monday nights for an online weekly cohort. From 6:30pm-7:15pm in English and 7:30pm-8:15pm in Spanish *CST.
Once a month, typically on the third Saturday of every month we meet for LEAD Saturdays Intensive Practical Ministry Training with seasoned Christian leaders from 8:15am to noon (See GSM’s Academic Calendar (LINK ) for specifics dates).
About 10 hours of independent work plus a 3 to 7 day missions trip.

General
The online portion can be completed from anywhere!
The required once a month LEAD Saturdays will take place in Katy, Texas.
Absolutely!
We have partnered with Southeastern University in Florida. If you take classes simultaneously with them while completing GSM, you will receive three credit hours per semester.
OR
You may receive credit from Life Pacific University in California by taking classes simultaneously with them, paying their fees, and adding a bit of extra work for college credit.

We are not currently accredited; however, this offers us the freedom to provide world-class biblical and practical teaching and training at an affordable rate.

Absolutely!
The program will require:
-An average of 5 hours a week plus
-One full Saturday morning a month for your LEAD Saturday Intensive Practical Ministry Training, typically the third Saturday of the month. (8:15am to 12:00pm CST). Please see GSM’s Academic Calendar for this year’s specific dates ( LINK TO CALENDAR)
We do not provide financial aid at this time and we are not illegible for credit transfer or loan determent.
